R5/1- KONG

Resumes here today and this is a much easier task than what he was competing in prior to the break. His best career runs have come on heavy tracks and they included his only win and a solid effort at Listed grade. Apprentice claim will help his chances late.

R7/2- VIVALDI’S QUEST

Has been in super form this prep, having not missed a placing in his last 5 starts and that included 2 wins. He is the current race fave and is hard too look past. His record over this track/distance is 2:2-0-0 and pretty sure he can handle the heavy ground as he has showed to really appreciate a soft surface.

R3/1- VALAC

Resumes today after falling in a strong race over the Warrnambool carnival. His form prior to that race was really strong and his for over the jumps is 5:3-0-0 overall in his career. The one that stands out is the run prior to the fall at Warrnambool where he beat the winner of The Grand Annual and that form is good enough to win this.

R4/3- COSMIC AURA (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

Has race experience on his side which may give him a good advantage against others here today. The race experience he has is 2 stronger level races than what he is facing here today. Should push forwards and will give himself every chance.

R8/1- JONTY

Won a similar race to this when resuming but it’s the run 2 back at maiden level that stands out huge. He absolutely smashed the field by almost 16L on a bog track. So showed he goes well in tough conditions. His record 2nd up is also strong (2:1-0-1) and he looks really well placed here again.
