R4/3 - BELLALIQUE

BELLALIQUE maps to get an ideal run here today jumping from barrier 2. She will likely push forwards and take control of the race from the front. He debut performance last prep was super impressive, she didn’t quite make the same impression 1st up thIs prep but she had excuses, expecting improvement here.

R6/3 - EAST INDIAMAN

2nd up here today and has previously gone well 2nd up with a run under his belt (7:3-0-0). As well as that extra fitness for this, he has good early speed which should see him land forwards without too much trouble given there isn’t much early speed drawn below him. The expected GOOD conditions will be ideal for him and if it’s a quick deck and he finds the front, he should prove hard to catch.

R8/7 - PUDDING (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

It’s a very open addition of the cup, but as it stands PUDDING looks to be over the odds. Concede this is likely due to the fact he has drawn barrier 15, but at this track he gets a good chance down the entire back straight to find a position. He held his ground ok late in the Listed Leon McDonald Stakes last start after he was made to work early out wide. He is up to the 1600m which is ideal if the track is favouring runners forwards, he should be in a good position.

R9/1 - FLEURIEU FLIPPER

He will have to carry a large weight here today, but he is the best horse in this race quiet easily and is dropping right down in grade from a Saturday BM64 down to a BM58 here today. He is also 2nd up here today and has previously run well when 2nd up (2:1-1-0). Track conditions are ideal and it is the easiest race he has contested for a while now, if he handles the big weight he will be hard to stop.
