R5/2- KATSU

• KATSU was a good winner last start when resuming at Flemington. He has had a little freshen up since then which wont hurt given he seems to be at his best when he is fresh. His record is good over the 1000m trip and maps for a good run close to the rail from barrier 1.

R6/2- STEPARTY (BEST OF DAY)

• Very good race and definitely a race that may prove a strong form reference leading into autumn. STEPARTY for me, he looked good in a recent trial at Stawell and he is undefeated both 1st up into a prep and over the 1200m set up. He looks to have a really good set up here versus some of his competition who will likely improve going further out in trip.
