Ran on well and wasn’t far away in The Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke recently. This is a slight drop in grade for him today and one of the key factors for his chances is the track conditions. He does his best work on rain effected tracks so many rain Saturday will increase his chances.

R7/1- ARKANSAW KID

Has had a super prep including running 4th in The Coolmore 2 starts back. He looks the class runner of this field and finds an easier assignment. The query on him is how he will handle a 1600m trip but he has been closing off races strongly enough to suggest he will handle the trip and he looks like he has a class edge on the field.

R8/7- DUKE DE SESSA

A runner who has looked very promising at times but definitely feel we haven’t seen the best of him yet here in Australia. He looks as if he will be able to do his best work of a soft or heavy track and he likely gets that chance today. He is getting ideal conditions today and out over the suitable 2400m trip where he has won twice before. Every chance to finally find his best form.
