R8/4- WEST WIND BLOWS (BEST OF THE DAY)

British runner who came to Victoria earlier in the spring and targeted The Caulfield Cup. He ran super in The Cup running a close 2nd behind WITHOUT A FIGHT who went on to win the Melbourne Cup. That’s super form for a race like this, he comes back to the 2000m trip which should suit given his super record at this trip (6:3-2-1). Maps for a soft run from barrier 2 where he potentially tracks expected leader ZAAKI and if he gets an economical run, he may prove hard to hold out late.

R9/9- KIN

KIN maps to land in a strong position for this rate in the last race of the carnival. Drawn barrier 15, expect to see him on the complete outside rail which will likely be the best position for races down the straight today. She is 1st up here today and has previously both run well fresh and down the Flemington straight.
