R1/8 - RIVER NOIRE (BEST OF DAY)

Resuming for her 2nd prep here today after she produced 3 very nice runs in her first prep. She won 2 of those and ran 2nd in the other. There is good form around her from that 2nd run when she ran behind SHE DANCES who went on to win some more nice races. It’s a positive for her she has raced down the straight previously and she has been trialling well enough to suggest she will return in good order.

R8/2- ARRAN BAY (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

Won well last start when 2nd up over a 1400m trip, 3rd up here today and gets back to Flemington where he has previously had good form as well as a win at this track/trip. Looks well suited today, but does have a wide barrier. He will likely be able to get across the, early with some speed and should be in this race for a long way.

R9/3- BERKLEY SQUARE

Concede he will likely improve as he gets out over a further trip. But he has previously run well both 1st up and over the 1400m trip. He is 2/2 over this track/trip. He was a Group 2 winner in his 3YO season and does look to have that class about him. His recent trial leading into this looked very nice to my eye and he looks well suited to kick off a good campaign here.
