BLAKMAX and BERKELEY SQURE met in their last start finishing 2nd & 3rd. Have the result flipping today and BLAMMAX improving here. He draws a more inside barrier which should give Kah to option to put him in a more prominent position. BERKELEY SQUARE though only has to run up the last start figure here. Expect PALAGGIO to push forwards from barrier one and control the race from the front, could run away with it if he gets a soft enough run.

6- DEFIANT DIVA
QUINTELLO is coming off a small freshen up after looking tired coming off 2 runs in tough conditions in Sydney. She runs well fresh and Is super consistent, if she find space late she will be hard to hold out. NIGHT PASSAGE finished last prep winning 3 straight. Her record over the 1400m is strong and won 2 trials prior to resuming here. DEFIANT DIVA was an impressive winner last start and winning rise in grade now. She is a proven 3rd up performer.

VERANSKOVA was huge when flashing late to nearly real in Sauid Game here at Flemington last start. She looks well placed here dropping in grade and getting an extra 100m to work with. If she gets the space late again she will be hard to hold out. Expect LORD PARAMOUNT to improve here now he is 3rd up, he was a winner 3rd up last prep and has shown to appreciate this trip. SIXBYSIXTYTHREE was a good winner last start in Mildura, he rates highly in this grade and will be aided by an apprentice claim. Drawn wide but that can be the best part of this track at times.

10- COOLTH
THE AWESOME SUN has been building towards a run like this today. He Took up until 3rd up last prep to get a breakthrough win and has won 2/3 when over the 2000m. BLUE CUP is an import who has shown good signs in 2 runs here in Australia but yet to breakthrough. May have taken some time to adjust and potentially is a big improver now 3rd up. COOLTH has always been consistent this prep and finds winning positions but hasn’t been finishing races off. He has a good career record over the 2000m and will carry less weight than his last 2 runs.

3- KING OF SPARTA
4- SIRIUS SUSPECT
STAGEMAN looks to have come up under the odds here and is good value. He is on debut since moving across from WA. Has a super record 1st up (6:2-1-2) and is proven on a soft track. Like him at a bit more value. KING OF SPARTA was an impressive winner 1st up at Caulfield and his recent strong form can’t be knocked, but willing to risk him at the short price as he is down the straight for the 1st time. SIRIUS SUSPECT is some what of a Flemington straight specialist. He has gone down it 12 times over this trip with 4 wins.
Race 6
8- CHASIN’ CHEX (VALUE OF DAY)
6- HERE TO SHOCK
4- HE’S OUR BONNEVAL
CASHIN’ CHEX come across from SA on the back of some super recent form. He has placed in all 6 starts this prep including 3 wins. The last start win he smashed a BM80 field by 5L. Willing to take a risk on him at $10 to see how good he could be. HERE TO SHOCK maps to get the on speed run of the race. He has good early speed and an inside barrier. If he can find a soft run he could be hard to reel in. HE’S OUR BONNEVAL is dropping in class after finishing 3rd last time. Has only missed the placings once in 9 starts over this trip.
Race 7
4- TEEWATERS
6- THROUGH IRISH EYES
5- HORRIFYING
TEEWATERS has resumed with a pair of good runs including a last start win. He is proven at a staying trip and looks to have really matured into a good runner. THROUGH IRISH EYES has placed in his past 5 starts but hasn’t managed a breakthrough. Those runs have been at listed and Group level. This looks slightly easier than recent runs and only has to improve slightly to turn the tables on HORRIFYING who got it easy up in front last start and ran away with it. Is a proven stayer.

3- WINNING PARTNER
7- SHANDY
NICOLINI VITO has had a strong recent record here at Flemington . His 1st up win was super impressive and he could improve out if it. Don’t want to make him a best bet at the short price, but he is going to be hard to beat and is 1 out in the Quaddie. WINNING PARTNER is dropping back in grade and trip here. 4th up today and hasn’t missed the quinella in 3 other career 4th up runs. SHANDY resumes and could be a surprise. She is drawn to get a lot of favours on the speed and is usually good when 1st up (4:2-0-1)

9- CHAIN OF LIGHTNING
7- SQUID GAME
FIRE couldn’t have been any more impressive when he won easily at Sandown last start. He has been progressing through the grades and looks a really nice type. If he handles the straight is the query. CHAIN OF LIGHTNING has also been progressing well. She is undefeated from 3 career starts and being drawn out wide may be an advantage depending on track conditions. SQUID GAME has a strong record here down the straight (5:2-0-2), he has only missed the placings once in his career and has a slight experience edge on rivals in this.
