R3/1- SNOW PATROL (BEST OF DAY)

SNOW PATROL was scratched from a race Saturday that he was reasonably in the market for, to contest this today. He is lightly raced but has had 2 very good runs to date. His last start 3rd was a messy race where he copped a big knock before picking up late to the line. Out of barrier 5 today, he should find a nice position and with clear running should be hard to hold out.

R4/1- DIO (VALUE OF DAY)

Willing to risk the favourite in this race who is drawn barrier 1 and hasnt seen the Flemington straight before. DIO is a last start winner at Sale and previous to that ran 2nd behind NAJEM SUHAIL down this Flemington straight. DIO is drawn in the middle of the straight here and has good early speed so will likely be prominent in running, and the fact he has performed down the straight recently gives confidence he should go close.

R7/7- CRACKERJACK PRINCE

This is a tricky race to map given major speed influences have drawn quite wide, but expect CRACKERJACK PRINCE gets a good run just off the speed from barrier 7. His 2 recent runs have been full of merit when he was a commanding winner 2 starts back at The Valley before returning to The Valley to finish 4th behind HENNESSY LAD. He gets an ideal set up here in these conditions.
