R4/6- ALLUSION (VALUE OF DAY)
He doesn’t win often, but his recent form has been in stronger races including finishing close enough to 3L to both handy runners PUDDING & WILD IMAGINATION. If he can’t find some if that stronger form here today, he should go close. The winder barrier isn’t much of a concern as it’s expected runners will look to get into the middle of the track and the race fave of this may get stuck last and on the rails.
R5/1- MIDNIGHT RUSH (BEST OF DAY)
He had been struggling to find form earlier this prep but dropped down in grade last start and ran 2nd that day. This is again a drop in class and this looks the easiest race he has seen for a while. He will have a heavy weight but over the short 1100m that shouldn’t hold him back. Barrier 5 ideal, expected he can stay away from the rail and find the middle of the track in the straight.
R6/3- WILLASTON
Was an impressive winner here 2 weeks ago. His form this prep has been strong and he beat a horse called JILLADORA last time, JILLADORA won at Morphettville Saturday franking the form out of that last race. WILLASTON runs well here at Gawler and Jason Holder sticks.
