R6/1- LOMAX

LOMAX has been around the mark in stronger races during this prep including a win in a metro BM62 only back in late April. He finds himself in a mid-week BM58 now and going over a suitable 1700m trip. He has previously had very good success at this track including a record of (3:1-0-1) over this track/trip. He does have to carry a big weight but it is something he has done before, if he gets clear running space in the straight he should be hard to hold out.

R7/4- SEVEN SECRETS (BEST OF DAY)

Had a nightmare run last start at Balaklava, he did a lot right in the run and looked to be every chance coming into the straight but then got squeezed badly by the horse he shared the lead with. He has lost his momentum in the last 200m-100m and didn’t really finish the race off. His form prior to that was quite good, he wasn’t too far off them in a much stronger race in town and previous to that he won his maiden at this track and there has been multiple winners come out of that race now franking that as a good form race. He maps to get a nice run up near the front from barrier 5 while others with the early speed may be made to work from wider barriers.
