R1/3 - ALPINE FUN

• Willing to take on the short price fave here. While she was impressive on debut. Like the experience edge ALPINE FUN has. She is a last start winner here at Gawler and that was also on a heavy surface. As we have seen her run well on a wet track, I’m preferring to take the better value on a runner proven in these conditions.

R5/1 - DEEVINE (BEST OF DAY)

• Was a good winner here 4 starts back in a very similar race before contesting stronger races at Saturday metro level. He drops back in grade again and back to a track where he has a good record. He has also showed previously that he can run well on rain affected tracks, so won’t mind the expected conditions here today.

R6/5- RUSTYDUSTYSUNSHINE

• She has a good overall record here at her home track and will appreciate the wet ground. Generally runs her best races here at Gawler. Drawn a good barrier and with an apprentice claim, she should at least be around the mark late here if not winning.
