R2/4- AFRICARN LAD

• AFRICARN LAD backs up today having run at Strathalbyn last Wednesday. He jumps up from the 1350m right up to the 1700m trip here today which looks like it should be suitable. He made up a huge amount of ground late to run 4th last week from a wide position. Reeling off the fastest closing sectionals of the race and the 2nd fastest L200m of the meeting. He went well on the heavy track last week so the wet suits and this looks a suitable race.

R5/6- CAMPOBASSO (BEST OF DAY)

• In form stayer who has won 2 of his last 4 starts including a last start win here over the exact same track/trip. There is a good amount of rain forecast for overnight and he does his best work on a heavy track (16:5-1-5). So conditions will suit and Jason Holder should have options to find a good run up on the speed from barrier 4.

R7/1- TUPOLEU (VALUE OF DAY)

• 2nd up now this prep, he ran on ok late after finding some trouble but fitter now and up to a 1200m trip is much more suitable. Has won over this track/trip previously and handles a rain affected track. There doesnt look a fast tempo in this race which should suit him and land him in a strong position in running.
