Gawler & Cranbourne 22/6

Conditions - Gawler (Soft), Cranbourne (Heavy)

R3/10- MISCHIEVOUS TYCOON

  • Resuming off a decent spell and she maps for a super run up on the speed and with most of the other speed drawn outside of her, she should get run of the race. Willing to take on the 9 who is fave, we haven’t seen her in these wet conditions and has some work to do from the wide barrier.

R4/11- PERLUBIE BEACH (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

  • Was sent to spell straight after competing in a sharp 2yo race at Morphettville in December. He should take benefit for having had more time to mature and grow after that performance that was a decent against quality opposition and the form from that race has been franked with multiple winners now.

R5/11- FOUR WINDS

  • She wasn’t far off them in a decent field last start at Morphettville. Now dropping in grade and back to provincial level. She is a potential risk rising over the distance, but she has a good association with Crowther who rides today and has a good pretty good weight swing vs the more favoured runners. 2 looks a clear danger but can currently still play FOUR WINDS at an EW price.

R7/2- CHEVITE

  • On his home deck today and is a track specialist with a record of 12:5-2-0 over this track and distance. He should push forwards and may potentially lead the field up. The wet conditions are going to sort him perfectly and the 3kg claim is another advantage to have late.

R1/5- L’IL WONDER

  • One of a few in this race who has race experience which should come in handy in these tough conditions expected today. She has showed good early speed so far in her career so drawing barrier 3 here today gives her a chance for a soft run. This field is easier than what she has come up against so far so expecting a good improving run here.

R4/1- TELECASTER **SCRATCHED**

  • Produced a big win here last start to break through for his maiden victory. The debut win was super impressive and he showed no signs of slowing down in the straight so the rise to the 1600m should suit. Draws again for a soft run on the speed so anticipating a similar performance here as the last start victory.
