R3/9- VERY SEWREEL (BEST OF DAY)

Comes out of a handy race last start at Flemington behind a nice looking type in OTAGO. VERY SEWREEL was 3rd but the top 3 in the race have run the race in good time. He maps to take the lead which can be the advantage at this track and if he can reproduce an effort similar to last start he should be fighting this race out late.

R8/2- SHIRSHOV (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

This race has a lot of speed and over the 1000m trip, no doubt they will go fast. SHIRSHOV ran a slick time last start in his only run that prep, he currently holds the lead in the Friday night 55 second challenge after that run. He really looked to like the track, draws well enough in barrier 6 and has a good record over the 1000m. He will be forwards and if he runs up to the last time he should be fighting this out.

R9/8- VEIGHT

He comes here to take the older horses on but VEIGHT looks a young horse with a lot of potential who will handle this level. He has a super 1st up record winning both other 1st up runs he has had previously in his preps. Both of those races were over the 1200m trip as well. He looks well suited here today.
