Morphettville, Saturday, 11/6

Conditions - Soft

Race 1

4- STARTS WITH HELLO

2- VALAROC

6- STAR ESPRESSO

STARTS WITH HELLO looks a really good progressive type going forward, he missed the start on debut but finished well and then won well next up. Drawn well has enough speed to figure. VALAROC was good in his last start when chasing home a pair of handy ones. He has a good overall record but doesn’t seem to find his best when he ventures here to Morphettville, his best could win this if he can find it. STAR ESPRESSO draws to find the run of the race on the speed from his barrier. He is usually better over the 1000m but if he gets it easy up front he may figure here.

Race 2

6- WILLASTON

13- LEGLESS LADY

2- CHUCK NATION

Not super keen to have a bet in this maiden race it’s definitely tough. LEGLESS LADY is your short price fave after running behind Starts With Hello and that form could be franked in the 1st race, but he is a get back run on type and that may go against him here at the Parks track which usually favours on speed runners. WILLASTON had some money for him on debut where he ran well, he ran well and may be on speed here. Only knock is the wider barrier but he looks good value. CHUCK NATION is on debut, he has had plenty of trials before coming to the races and his last pair of runs have been good. Looks the best of the debutants.

Race 3

1- GOLD BUCKET

2- EVERYLITTLE BREEZE

14- TE PIRO

Looks a very good looking 2yo race this. Tough field but think the 1&2 are the stands outs. GOLD BUCKET has contested some sharp races early into his career and he should get a good advantage here as he likes to be on speed and has drawn the inside barrier. He maps for a perfect run to suit the Parks track bias. EVERYLITTLE BREEZE  won on debut and looks a nice type. His debut run was on a heavy track so if the conditions begin to worsen, it could help him as others lack that experience. TE PIRO has had a couple nice jump outs prior to coming here to debut. She was set to debut a fortnight ago but was scratched, early money came for her that day.

Race 4

1- OUTLAWS REVENGE

4- TURBEAU

3- EXTRA TIME

These top 3 runners in the market but the do look extremely likely. OUTLAWS REVENGE is dropping sharply back in grade to BM level after competing at Group level. He hasn’t found his best form this prep but he is due and thinking the drop in class will be a big help. TURBEAU competed strongly in some good level races last prep and his resuming effort was good. 2nd up today and has previously won 2nd up but the query on him is how he goes on a wet track which looks the likely conditions. EXTRA TIME has been in good form and has a powerful finish but his running pattern doesn’t suit this track, he is only 5:1-0-0 here which show that and the inside barrier goes against him as well.

Race 5

2- MEDIEVAL MISS

1- TOYETIC

6- KING OF PHAROHS

MEDIEVAL MISS is dropping slightly in grade from her last start run here at Morphettville where she was 4th. Think she is a change to improve off that here at a track where she has previously run and suggest she will handle whatever track conditions she gets Saturday. TOYETIC won his last start in a tougher grade than this today. Runs his best on these soft/heavy tracks but the wide barrier and extra weight could make it tough. KING OF PHAROHS showed good improvement when dropping in class last start, maps to get the on speed run and might control the tempo of the race and dictate terms.

Race 6

7- NONAME LANE (BEST OF DAY)

8- PERFECT ROUTE

6- SKILLED BUNCH

Thinking NONAME LANE is perfectly placed here today (If they don’t go to Sandown with him) he looks the likely leader from his barrier and with his early speed and has won out at this distance previously from the front. Track conditions suit and he is light at the weights so should be finishing off well. PERFECT ROUTE should get a chance to improve here now dropping in grade from recent runs, he come back to the 1400m where he has only missed the placings once from 4 starts and he has a strong record here on the Parks track (8:4-1-2). SKILLED BUNCH is a last start winner who is rising in trip today. He won well in that last start so that suggests rising in distance should suit. Only query is that he usually gets back and finishes off strongly, may need luck on this track to win from the back.

Race 7

5- SACRED AMOUR

11- DISAGREEABLE MISS

13- HATEECH

SACRED AMOUR another who gets a perfect map to suit the inner Park track. He will be up on speed and in a perfect spot with out having to work too hard for position, has been in super form this prep and placed in higher grade races recently. Expect there is potential that this race may become a speed battle up front as it looks like this has a lot of early speed and some of it drawn out wide, may perfectly set up a runner like DISAGREEABLE MISS who maps to come from behind them. She may need some luck in the straight but also might be perfectly set up if they go fast enough. HATEECH has found strong form this prep. Rises in class but draws to get a good run and is light at the weights.

Race 8

1- FIGHTING MCLAREN

2- SECRET WAR

10- CHOSEN BLONDE

FIGHTING MCLAREN was winning races at this level in his last prep and he won 1st up into that last prep. Looks really well placed in this grade today and will get the weight relief from a good apprentice. He is drawn well here so should find a prominent position through the run. SECRET WAR is the likely leader of this race and that usually give runner a good chance on the tight Parks track. CHOSEN BLODE is dropping in grade from her recent effort when she was solid. She comes into this really nice at the weight vs the fave. The wider barrier is a slight query as there is pace inside,  it if she can navigate the barrier early, she looks a big chance.

Race 9

3- UNLACED

4- FOX D’OR

14- CHROMATICA

Tough way to finish the day off, and with that hoping that UNLACED can find her best form which she hasn’t managed to find of late. She probably has to push forwards from that barrier to feature in this. Should be a big chance in favourable conditions for her on a soft track and she has won her only other start on this track/distance. FOX D’OR is dropping slightly back in grade from his recent runs and will probably be suited in these conditions. CHROMATICA won her debut race and then quickly went up in trip 2nd up. She didn’t appear to handle the staying trip and may be an improver here dropping back in distance to something more suitable at this stage of her racing career.
