R1/3- EN FRANCIS

This is a good race but EN FRANCIS looks to have found a winnable race for her now. 2 starts back she ran a big race in The Listed Murray Bridge Cup to finish 2nd. She then went to Moonee Valley in a stronger race where she didn’t really look to suited and did finish 7th. That is a forgivable run, the tight track doesn’t really seem too suit EN FRANCIS. She drops back down to Benchmark grade today, in the easier level today, she gets a good chance.

R2/4- POISON CHALICE (BEST OF DAY)

He is a horse that can do a lot wrong sometimes, but has clear talent when he gets in right. He ran 5th last week at Flemington in The Country Final. He hit the line well running past a few over the 1600m. So up to the 1800m here today, think that will really suit him. Hopefully he lands in a good position from barrier 2 and if he does find a clear run late, he looks the one.

R8/4- STARLITE VALLEY

Comes into this race 2nd up today. She was 3rd when resuming chasing home the impressive SGHRIPPA who will go around as a fave at Caulfield Saturday. STARLITE VALLEY hit the line really nicely in that race with some of the quickest closing splits of the entire meeting (only SGHRIPPA was faster). So rising to the 1200m here today will suit based off that. She is a winner 2nd up and will appreciate a Good rated track, so an upgrade does her no damage.
