DIXIE WHISTER is a consistent mare who rarely runs a bad race and maps beautifully for this race today. She will likely lead them up from barrier 3 and gets in well at the weights after Alana Livesey takes 3kgs off. Also has a 6:2-2-2 record here on the Parks track so looks well suited. THE GOOD FIGHT comes across from Victoria and finds himself contesting an aside race than his last few. Potentially has the most class in this field, but the big weight he will have to carry over a staying trip is the query. Respecting the recent form of ALHAMBRA LAD who has now won 3 starts in a row, he runs well over this trip and with Lachlan Overall in the saddle but the test for him today is the rise in grade now.

The in form McEvoy team bring MISS SUNSHINE here today off the back of a pair of really nice trials recently. She has had 1 career run where she was 3rd behind THE INSTRUCTOR who won the listed Blue Diamond prelude. Since that run MISS SUNSHINE has been given more time to develop and mature and resumes here looking in good order and likely to get a good run from barrier 4. EVERLY looks the best chance of the debutants for mine, she has also produced some nice trials prior to this today and is well bred. The wide barrier is a small concern though. ZANTHRON at bigger odds wouldn’t surprise here, he has the benefit of good race experience having had 3 career runs and placed in the last 2 of those, drawn a low barrier and won’t be far away in the run.

PICARGO barely runs a bad race and has been in super form this prep having won 2 and run 2nd another 2 times. There looks like there will be a lot of pressure up front in this and it could perfectly set him up to come over the top of them late. He has a super record over this track/trip (4:1-3-0) and will probably appreciate coming off a heavy track onto firmer ground. JACKS ON ICE continues to run well this prep and has won 3 in a row now. Hard to knock that form but I expect he will look to push forwards and could be undone if the pressure is too much at the front. FRANCE’S BOY drops in trip here today but has been racing well against stronger types including WILD IMAGINATION who he ran 2nd to last weekend. Look for him to push forwards and be the leader here and be in a prominent position in running.
Race 4

RIALTOR usually does his best work here on the Morphettville Parks track. He has a super record over this exact track/trip (3:2-1-0). Expect he will lead them up at the front here and the race maps for him to find that position without having to work too hard early. The drop down the the 1550m suits him and Sheridan Tomlinson has a good record when riding. STORM HUNTER backs up today having finally broke through for a win last week after a long string of placings. He maps to get a very similar run and is low down at the weights, this is a step up in grade from the run last weekend though. PLATFORM also backs up having run last weekend, he wasn’t too far away from the winners and again maps for a good run here, wouldn’t surprise at EW odds.
Race 5
5- RUSSIAN FRONT ❌

Tricky little race this one, RUSSIAN FRONT is a Victorian visitor who resumes here today. After he won his maiden, he came over and contested a race here at Morphettville last prep but had no success. He has had a spell since and has produced 2 good trials in the lead up to resuming, he maps well to take the lead and if he has improved from the 1st up prep he is a big chance. LAKE AGAWAM resumes here today. He was a 1st up winner in his last prep and has run 2 good races in David Jolly’s care. Expecting he will have taken good benefit having had a spell and more time in the Jolly stable. BAJAN BELLE loomed as a winner at Gawler a fortnight ago before getting run over late. He maps well and gets in well at the weights here, wouldn’t surprise at decent odds.
Race 6
5- NEODIUM (EW/VALUE OF DAY) ❌
1- METRO LEGEND 🥉
8- PONTEDERA 🥈
NEODIUM resumes today and represents good EW value for us here today. He is a previous 1st up winner so we know he can run a race fresh, he will likely do his best work when getting out over some more ground later into his prep, but he has a solid 5:2-1-2 record over this track/trip so considering he will be up on the speed and prominent in running, he should be in this race for a long way. METRO LEGEND is having a big prep and is a last start winner making that 2 wins now this prep. The 1400m is the question over him but he is at a good level of fitness now. PONTEDERA is a runner who looks like he has some good upside. Can produce a big finish and will be helped with the lighter weight. Expect he will be finishing this off strongly but the query on him today is he is drawn barrier 1 and is a risk of getting stuck a few pairs back on the rail.
Race 7
5- PORTATION (BEST OF DAY) 🥇

4- IMPORTANT PRODUCT 🥉
PORTATION was a winner a fortnight ago at Gawler when resuming and won his race in impressive fashion. He pushed forwards and won by 4L pretty easily to the line. He is 2nd up today and potentially may improve again off that impressive 1st up run. He maps well to be up on the speed and stick with Sophie Logan who takes 2kgs off his back. TARZI CALLING drops in grade today having run 4th in a midweek BM70 at Sandown last start. While he will find this easier, the small query on him is his race map, if he gets too far back he may need a lot to go his way to pick up the leaders with the big weight on his back. IMPORTANT PRODUCT backs up having gone close to a win in a blanket finish last week. He gets a small drop in grade here today and maps for a very similar run as last weekend which would see him go close with a similar run.
Race 8

Very tricky race this one. Victorian visitor THE GUAVA looks real close to a win having placed in his last 4 starts. He is drawn in barrier 1 and should be able to find a good position in running from there so should be in this race for a long way. OUR SHINING STAR ran an impressive race last time to finish 4th at Murray Bridge in a good level series final beating home the likes of SGHIRRIPA & HOPE AT HAND. Thats a good form reference for a race like this but he may need a lot of luck if he gets too far back in running. FANCIFY has had a let up since he won on debut at Murray Bridge impressively. He has trialled well leading into this race and drawn for a good run.
Race 9

3- ANNIHILATE ❌
7- MORE SUGAR *SCRATCHED
Happy to forgive ANOTHER PONZI for his run last week when he faded to run 4th. He over raced in the early stages of the race and took a long time to settle. Then when he was asked to accelerate he gave nothing. Expecting he can get a better run early in the race here today from barrier 1 and if so, his form earlier in the prep is good enough to see him go close here. ANNIHILATE comes out of the same race last weekend that ANOTHER PONZI does, ANNIHILATE was 2nd in that run and only missed the winner by a small margin less than 1L. His form this prep has been good, with 2 wins and 2 seconds so again, expecting he can go close here if he runs up to that effort last weekend. MORE SUGAR steps up in grade here today after she won her last start in a midweek Murray Bridge meeting. She went away to win quite well from the back of the field. She has good upside but is that risk of getting a bit too far back and may be better suited on a bigger track.
