MERCHANT BOSS maps for a perfect on speed run here. He ran a good race when resuming for a 2nd so expecting he can improve out of that race and should get the soft run. MORE REWARD come out of the same last start race as MERCHANT BOSS and wasn’t very far away. She has been supported here and could figure. LINES OF GLORY had some support on debut and should be an improver.
Race 2
4- ICHIBANSAN
5- TRUMPSTA
1- KING’S CHARISMA
ICHIBANSAN was good in a similar race to this last start, peaking late but only just missing. He will carry less weight here today and goes well here over this trip and will be well suited at this track. TRUMPSTA has a good record here on the parks track. Draws a gun barrier, so will probably push forwards and give himself every chance on speed. KING’S CHARISMA is dual nominated for Saturday. But if he comes here, looks a big chance, from a smart stable and this would be easier than his last start.

9- PINCHBECK
10- POMPEII EMPIRE
1- ANJOPIN
Good value for PINCHECK who is a runner that should find a good position up on speed with out a lot of trouble. He was well supported in his debut and managed a place. Not much improve,ent should be needed to grab this. POMPEII EMPIRE debuted in a handy race before instantly going for a spell. All indications point to the stable having a nice opinion of him, and their recent record with young horses has been super. ANJOPIN went down as an even money fave last weekend, has been consistent placing in 3 of her 4 career starts, doesn’t look far off a win.
Race 4
5- I AM BENE
2- RIVER TWAIN
3- MANHATTEN TIMES
I AM BENE returns from a trip to Victoria where she tackled stronger company and won one of the starts. She is light raced and looks a good type. RIVER TWAIN is undefeated from his both career runs here at the track. Expect he will lob up and lead early and be the one they need to run down. Looks well suited at good value. MANHATTEN TIMES is resuming. His best is good enough and he was good early in his last prep winning 1st up. But he will have lots to do, and I would be a lot more confident with him if we weren’t on the parks track today.

1- IMPOSSIBLE ACTION (VALUE OF DAY)
4- COOL MAGNUM
11- THE MAP
IMPOSSIBLE ACTION come back to the 1400m trip, he has a much better record over this trip than any other distance (8:3-1-1), but at this track/distance he has a much stronger record. Expect him to be prominent in running and up with the leaders. Should get every chance. COOL MAGNUM rises in trip here off the back of a win in a similar grade last start. If there is rain around and the track gets wetter, feel that improves his chances. THE MAP resumes, she showed some good class in much stronger races around the time of The SA Group carnival. Probably prefer her deeper into the prep as she gets a longer trip, but should be respected.
Race 6
4- GAZE GRISE
3- SOLAR GALE
10- DARING MOVE
GAZE GRISE resumes here today, he is a good 1st up performer and has a super record here on the parks track. 5:2-2-0 over this track/distance, drawn for a soft run. He looks well placed here. Expecting SOLAR GALE will take up the lead and give himself every chance. He just couldn’t real in the fave of this race DARING MOVE last start but will meet him better at weights here today. DARING move was a good winner last start and is building a nice record, only think he is a risk here today as he will have to come from the widest barrier and is a chance of getting caught wide.
Race 7
8- THE GOV
11- LOCKDOWN SALLY
7- SANBUCK
There is a bit of talk about how impressive THE GOV has looked at trial level since arriving here from NZ. Making her Aus debut here today, she is getting strong market support which is super encouraging. Big watch. LOCKDOWN SALLY broke through for a maiden victory at a super short price last start. She is a consistent type looking to take a next step up. Light at the weights and drawn well. SANBUCK is probably the roughie of the day, drawn well and has good early speed. He gets a soft run and should be in a good position, only question is how strong he will be late.
Race 8
2- EXALTED FIRE
1- NEODIUM
9- PITRAIN
This is a super tough race, not super keen to have a decent bet at much, but EXALTED FIRE showed good improvement 2nd up for the stable when rising in trip to the 1500m. Gets a similar trip here again and with some of the major players drawn out wide he should get a better run than others. NEODIUM is better than what his recent form suggests, rates well for this race and gets a chance to improve being on a track where he has a strong record 5:2-0-2. PITRAIN is in strong recent form including a last start win where he looked to do it easily. The wide barrier is tough and he may need some luck.
Race 9
8- SCENIC HOST
7- NANA DULCE
10- SALT BAY
SCENIC HOST was 2nd last start to the in form NANA DULCE. He gets his chance to turn the table here I feel given he will meet the fave 3.5kg better at the weights and NANA DULCE has drawn a sticky barrier which might make it a challenge to get across. SALT BAY backs up after being well supported last weekend and not managing the win. The support was strong so that’s hard to ignore and this is potentially easier this weekend.
