Is in super form, he was 2nd last start behind the impressive runner POISON CHALICE and prior to that he had won 2 in a row. He was only caught late last week by POISON CHALICE, so dropping back down to the 1600m is ideal for MIDNIGHT MASS today (3:2-0-0). This looks a good race for him.

R5/1- THE MAP (BEST OF DAY)

Was super impressive when she won her last start at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day. The run she produced there, would easily account for this race if she can reproduce that. She won this race last year and her record over this trip is impressive (3:2-0-0). So again, she finds herself in a very winnable race here today and if she is able to produce an effort close to the Flemington win, she looks very hard to beat.

R7/7- VALIDATED (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

Comes into this race 2nd up of a let up. He was 3rd behind QUEMAN in that race, but rising to the 1200m now looks a perfect set up for him. He has a super record over the 1200m trip so ticks that box today. The race map for VALIDATED is also good, he likes to settle back a bit and there maps to be a lot of speed up front, so from barrier 10 if he can find some cover midfield he may find the right part of the track in the straight.
