BIRIDIES GALORE is the only runner in this field who has winning experience. He ran sharply on pace in his debut and looked to have good potential. PHAROSE has won 2 trials prior to this debut race and looks ready for a strong debut. TUNDRA & PHAIR PLAN have also showed good signs at the trials and should be ready to go here.

5- NEVER DANCE
This looks the ideal chance for THE WEIGHT to breakthrough for her debut win. She has good early speed but hasn’t had a lot of luck with barrier draws. She draws inside today and should get the run and has heavy track experience. SPIRITUAL GAL has had plenty of chances and has looked close multiple times. The race experience and light weight are both positives, but the wide barrier is the knock on her in this. NEVER DANCE is on debut, trials have been solid and he comes from a smart stable.

3- KNIGHTSTOWN (EW/VALUE OF DAY)
9- TOTALLY DISCREET
1- AQUAPHISE
KNIGHTSTOWN comes back in grade after competing at Listed level in his past 2. Last time he was back around this level he placed but found some back luck when winding up. Both of his career wins have come at this distance and if he handles the heavy, he looks a threat late at a good price. TOTALLY DISCREET resumes, she won a race at this level in the last prep and draws to get all the favours here on the speed. AQUAPHISE was a winner when fresh last prep and over this distance. He wants to be on speed and the wide barrier doesn’t help, but if he can get out across and clean, he looks a big threat.

6- GOLIOTUS
This is a very open race, looking for any advantages as possible and have settled on INSAAF. He will go back and will have to be running on late, but there looks a lot of speed in this and it could perfectly set him up as the back marker. Was 2nd in his only career run on the heavy so should handle the conditions. BIG SUE is only lightly raced but has found some strong form in his last few outing including a win here at Morphettville over the 1600m. He is in strong form and think he will handle the heavy surface. GOLIOTUS is one that will definitely handle the heavy going as he boasts a record of 3:2-1-0 on the heavy, but this is a step up in grade.
Race 5
5- RISING RENOWN
2- LORD BOUZERON
1- SESAR
RISING RENOWN is dropping in grade and draws to get the run of the race here from barrier 3, he wants to be on speed and should get that run without much effort. Has form winning on a heavy track as well. LORD BOUZERON has drawn a horrible barrier and will have to come from the widest one. He wants to be on speed so will look to come across them early, if he can find the run with out to much work he is a huge chance. SESAR might finally have found his day here today. He is huge odds, but has done the best work in his career on a heavy track and he hasn’t been on a heavy surface since 2019 and that race was at Group 3 level where he placed. Maybe these conditions help him find his best form again and you don’t have to have a lot on EW mfor a return if he does run well enough.

2- BROTHERS SHADOW
1- RAISE AN ARMY
Thought STARSONGARI was disappointing in her last start but the runs prior to that in stronger races were very good. Think she can really improve here is she can find her best form and the booking of a senior jockey should boost those chances of improvement. BROTHERS SHADOW has good early speed and given others in this field don’t, think it’s likely that he can get across them from the wider barrier. 3rd up and should be fitter today only question mark is if he can see out the 1400m trip. RAISE AN ARMY is at big odds but drops slightly in grade from his last start. Always pays to respect when Shayne Cahill is riding one of his own runners.

2- FULL PROBE

11- AGRIMONY
FULL PROBE comes into this 3rd up today and this is usually where he hits his peak in a prep. He is 2 wins from 2 starts when 3rd up and should get a lot of favours in the run here. He wants to be on speed and has drawn perfect to utilise that and get a soft run. PLATFORM will appreciate the heavy going here today. He is 3:2-0-0 on the heavy tracks in his career, can do it up on speed and challenge FULL PROBE through the run. AGRIMONY debuts for a new stable today, has race fitness and comes from a very astute stable. Has had a trial prior to this run that he won and is drawn inside so might push forwards and be a chance.

1- ALLEBOOM (BEST OF THE DAY)
8- RUSHAWAY LAD
6- TWIST OF FURY
ALLEBOOM loves it here on the Morphettville Parks track, he usually pushes forwards and likes to take control of races from on the speed. Draws to get that run here but he can sometimes fade when 1st up into a prep, believe he has returned this prep in good condition ready to go. RUSHAWAY LAD has been in super form and won a similar race to this in his last start. He again is really light down in the weights thanks to the claiming apprentice that he has had previous success with. TWIST OF FURY should also get a good run on the speed from her barrier, she has strong form on soft and heavy tracks
Race 9
8- LAKES FOLLY
10- HE’S EXCLUSIVE
9- CAFE TORTONI
Tough race to finish off the card but can make a strong case for LAKES FOLLY who resumes today and has gone 4:3-0-1 when 1st up through his career and he goes well in the soft/heavy. HE’S EXCLUSIVE is coming off a strong win over in Victoria. He can win on a heavy surface and hasn’t missed the quinella over this track/distance, only query today is he has drawn a wide barrier which may hurt his chances. CAFE TORTONI looks over the odds here and is a good EW play for value punters. He has good form on a heavy track and was terrible unlucky in his last start being held up for a run late which may have cost him.
