SOARLIKEANEAGLE has been strongly supported in the market early for this. He was an improver when rising to this trip last start. He was placed in a stronger race at this trip in that last start and should be hard to beat here. PLAYBOY CHARLIE has had plenty of chances, but is proven at these staying trips so should be competitive. Chances will improve if rain comes and the track gets to a soft range. VIC REEL improved when rising in trip last start, she is a chance to improve here again.

2- NOBLE MAGNATE
7- DAUNTING DECISION
UMARELL is on debut here today and has been ultra impressive in his 2 most recent trials. He was impressive in those runs, if he can get to that level in this he will be hard to beat. NOBLE MAGNATE is also on debut, won a trial prior to this and comes from a stable who has a super record with debuting runners. Draws a nice barrier and expect he will find a prominent position in running. DAUNTING DECISION has a race day experience advantage on rivals in this. She has been 2nd in 2/3 races in her career. Expect her to push forwards and will be light at the weights which should help late.

VANITY STAR has been good in his 2 most recent runs considering he hasn’t had a lot go his way from wider barriers. He draws much better here today, and links back up with Vorster who has ridden him in his 2 best career runs to date. FLITTELL was close to a breakthrough win 3 starts back when he was covering this distance for the 1st time. Proven to handle the trip will be a main danger. MISSILE STAR has had some early market support. She is going to get in super light at the weights here today which will really help late.
Race 4

2- FLEURIEU FLIPPER
6- TAN TAT BEAU
CHARLESFORT is a roughie that I am willing to have a small look at here today. He is on debut for the stable, coming from the Annabel Neasham stable. He trialled 2nd recently behind the short price fave in race 2, so that form could well be franked by this race. FLEURIEU FLIPPER ran 2nd when resuming and could be an improver from that runs. Draws an inside barrier which will map him to land in a very prominent position in running. TAN TAT BEAU is 4 starts for 4 2nd places. Today might finally be his day and the early market support has come for him now.

8- LUCKY FORTUNA
HEAVEN’S WISH will take on some older horses here today after an impressive debut run where she looked to have the potential to be a smart filly. She jumped and lead that day, so expecting the same here today and if she has come on and developed more since the debut run, she will be hard to reel in. JUSTAKIDD has placed in both of his starts into this prep, and the last was in a tougher race than what he comes up against today. He will likely be back in he field, but if the race is run at a sharp tempo, expect he will get his chance late. LUCKY FORTUNA was another runner who won when on debut, it was a tough day at Balaklava the day she won, so potentially she will be able to improve out of that debut race in better conditions here today.

9- SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA
MR METRICS was pretty disappointing when he failed to beat home a runner when 1st up. Willing to forgive him for that run based on the form that he was producing last prep. Expect he will push forwards on speed and has a 3kg apprentice claim which should be helping him late. KONG has run 2nd in his last 3 starts and is building an unfortunate record of running places. He should again get a lot his way here which should give him every chance, he draws the inside barrier so will probably push forwards and if there is rain about and the conditions worsen, that will suit him. SOUTHERN MAGNOLIA is one at value that may pop up and be prominent. She has placed in her past 4 starts and from barrier 4 she probably tracks the leaders and can run over them late.
Race 7
6- BELLAVARDO (BEST OF THE DAY)
7- COMFORT GIRL
5- AFRICAN AWESOME
BELLAVARDO drops in grade after chasing home The Map who has since come out and run 2nd at listed level. That’s a strong form line for a race like this and she maps to really appreciate rising to this trip today and the expected soft track conditions will suit. She looks like she should be hard to beat here. COMFORT GIRL usually takes time to improve into preps and as she rises in distance. She gets to the 2000m today which will suit and she is fitter now. No matter what happens today, she is a runner to follow out of the meeting. AFRICAN AWESOME is rising in grade today, but is at his best when he is at a staying trip and 2000m is suitable.
Race 8
5- FIELDS OF ATHENRY
3- SACRED ARMOUR
8- RIZSKI
FIELDS OF ATHERY is dropping in grade today off her last run. She beat home Rich Gina 2 starts back who has since come out and won 2 races in a row at metro grade level. That’s a super form line for a race of this level. SACRED ARMOUR resumes today, he has a super 1st up record (3:2-0-0) and this is a sharp drop in grade than what he is competing against last prep. He will have to carry a heavy weight and has a wide barrier to handle, which potentially is going to give him a tough time of it but potentially has the extra class. RIZSKI was a winner when 1st up in a very similar race to this. He is a veteran runner who has a strong record at this track.
Race 9
8- LORD LUKER
9- PRINCE TIKEA
7- CRYPTO CURRENCY
A pretty tough way to finish off todays card, mostly based on a messy race map. LORD LUKER competed well in similar level races to this last prep, the main question around him today is where he lands from a sticky barrier, but with a senior jockey, expecting he can be prominent. Really like PRINCE TIKEA and he has had a super prep, after winning his maiden he came out and placed at listed level last start. My big query here for him is he needs to come from the widest barrier which will likely make it a tricky run. CRYPTO CURRENCY will need to be at his best to compete against these, but he gets a favourable race map and might be able to run away with this race.
