He didnt come up in his last prep when finishing back in the field in all 3 runs, but previous to that, on debut he finished 3rd in a strong 2YO race at Gawler and was well in the market that day. That race proved to be a strong form reference in the SA carnival 2YO races. SANTASTICO has jumped out well leading into resuming here today and is drawn in barrier 1 on a dry track over the 900m. These conditions should really give him every chance in this sprint.

R4/1- FERAGO (BEST OF DAY) 🥇

He is just easily the stand out class horse in this field. He was a BM78 winner at Morphettville in June and has since been competitive in Victorian metro grade staying events. He is rock hard fit and should have no issues running out this trip today. The query would be his form on the GOOD rated tracks, but his last 3 runs have been on a GOOD and he has run well in all of those. Class should shine through here.

R5/5- AIGUILETTE (VALUE OF DAY) 🥈

This is quite an open race, but we are getting good EW odds for AIGUILETTE who is dropping in grade out of City level races back to the provincials today. Expect he finds this level much easier than recent runs and has a great record on a GOOD track as well as a super record over 1300m trips (4:2-0-2). He may need luck to find a clear run at them late, but if a run appears he will be hitting the line hard and the jockey booking is very appropriate for a strong ride.
