He has shown good improvement in his last 2 starts when getting onto a heavy track. This looks an ideal track for him and a much easier race than the last start when he was placed at Morphettville in a metro class maiden. A run up to that should be good enough to win here.

R4/2- DETNAW

2nd up here today after running 2nd only 0.2L behind ACTION IN CAIRNS last time. He had no luck when coming into the straight and fought on strongly once finding clear running space. He goes well here on his home track (9:3-3-1) and can handle a heavy track, expecting to see him improve now with the extra fitness 2nd up and Sam Payne on looks a positive for this horse.

R5/2- JOE’S GIGGLE (BEST OF DAY)

Was a winner 1st up on a heavy track at Horsham and then ran 2nd here in his next start in very similar conditions he finds today. He is a winner here at the track and appreciate the heavy. This looks and easier assignment for him today than the last start was, he beat SHINY ROCK home who has since come out to win. Will likely push forwards and take some catching.

R7/8- WICKLOW LASS (EW/VALUE OF DAY)

Ran 3rd behind a handy pair of runners here last start, expecting that form to be franked after Race4 today. 2nd up off a small freshen up so expecting she may have an extra level of fitness which should help her see out the 1400m trip. She beat home her stable mate FINANCE HARLEM who came won a BM64 on the Ballarat Synthetic yesterday.
