3- KUSU (BEST OF DAY)

7- LADY WAIRAUA

1- DECLARED

KUSU looks to have finally found his race here, he has performed well in 2 tougher races and this looks his best chance to breakthrough and win his first race. LADY WAIRUA was 2nd in her last start behind a runner who looks to possess good talent. She has good early speed and drawn to utilise that and give herself every chance. DECLARED went straight to spell after his debut run, he showed good signs in that race and with the extra time to mature may return here an improved product.

Race 2

1- LORD BOUZERON

2- SAINT EUSTACE

4- MINOLA

LORD BOUZERON looked due a win when he broke through to win a very similar race to this. He goes well over the trip and well here at Murray Bridge. He looks well placed here again and maps for a very similar run. SAINT EUSTACE was an impressive winner in his last start at Sandown, prior to that was another impressive run at a good level. He should appreciate the bigger track here and should get his chance. MINOLA has been consistent of late including a recent win at the start of the prep, he will appreciate the rise in trip to 2500m

Race 3

8- REVUE

1- YURI ROYALE

2- BIG SUE

REVUE resumed a winner at Mildura last start, he meets todays fave much better off at the weights and was a winner here at the track 2nd up in his last prep, he went back and ran on last start, he should appreciate the big track and should get a good opportunity to run them down late. YURI ROYALE meets very similar conditions and a similar field to the race he won here a fortnight ago. He will have to carry 2kg more than the previous start, but his form this prep suggests he will be in the mix again, he will potentially be susceptible late with an expected fast tempo which may annoy him. BIG SUE was a close 2nd to YURI ROYALE in the last start here. Recent form has been strong but would prefer him for a better barrier.

Race 4

2- SEA WITNESS

5- SPEAK NO EAGLE

7- NIGHT OF DELIGHT

Big watch on SEA WITNESS at good odds. He can mix his form but maps to get run of the race here on speed from barrier 2 and coming out of a trial where he showed good signs vs good company including group 1 winner Behemoth. SPEAK NO EAGLE was an impressive debut winner here at the track before going straight out for a spell. He looked a very promising type of that run and having been given more time now he may resume an improved product. NIGHT OF DELIGHT was a good 1st up winner for a new stable, 2nd up today and should appreciate a rise in trip as well as a wide track.

Race 5

1- ELUDING

7- INFLUENTIAL JACK

11- MY KHALIFA

ELUDING resumes today in what looks and easier race than anything he was contesting prior to the spell. He has a strong record when 1st up (3:2-0-0) and has previously won well here at the track. Expecting he will take a sit behind the leaders and will be strong late. INFLUENTIAL JACK has been consistent this prep but without finding much success, he will appreciate finding a better track after running on heavy tracks in his last 5 starts expecting he will be around the mark now he appears better suited today. MY KHALIFA was an impressive runner here last start, steps up in grade today but a similar run should see him around the mark.

Race 6

6- RACE AGAINST TIME

3- DAMNED

4- BIG MAN AT NIGHT

Very open race this one with its current fave at the $5 mark. Give RACE AGAINST TIME a very good chance at his best, resumes here and was placed when 1st up last start. After winning his maiden he went on to contest some solid level staying races in Victoria. He will probably be better over more distance going forwards, but should get a soft run from barrier 3. This is an interesting kick off race for imported runner DAMNED, she looked ready to go when finishing off strongly in a recent trial. Another who will probably improve when rising in trip deeper into this prep, but she potentially has the extra class. BIG MAN AT NIGHT easily accounted for them when winning his debut at maiden class. Rises in grade here today but potentially will get the run of the race as there looks a lack of early speed in this and he will push forwards and take catching.

Race 7

3- SPANISH HEIRLOOM (VALUE OF DAY)

1- KALKARNI ROYALE

2- NONAME LANE

Keen to play SPANISH HEIRLOOM at a decent price in this. He was super when winning 1st up but faded late in his last start. Comes back to the 1000m which is much more suitable as he has a 50% winning strike rate over this distance. Maps for a soft run and looks well suited, strong EW play. KALKARNI ROYALE comes across from Victoria and drops sharply in grade after competing at Group 3 level at Flemington last start. Potentially she has too much class for this field, but willing to risk her here due to the weight she has to carry and ground she may have to make up vs some of the others here. NONAME LANE has had a freshen up since finding good form here in SA and then competing strongly at Caulfield. He gets suitable conditions and has previously run well here at Murray Bridge.

Race 8

13- INTREPID EAGLE

8- MARACOURT

3- CLASSY KENNY

INTREPID EAGLE won his maiden here a fortnight back over the exact same track/distance. He won easily even coming from a wide barrier that day as well. This is a step up in grade now, but the way he won I feel he will be capable at this grade 2nd up. MARACOURT won when 1st up and on debut last prep. This is his 2nd prep now and looks a suitable grade for him to kick off in. He competed well in a strong race Adelaide Cup day, which could be an sign of the talent he might have. CLASSY KENNY is a consistent type capable of winning a race like this. He was only 0.5L off the winner here in a blanket finish last start.

Race 9

5- BARBALINE

1- CHELOON

9- FIELDS OF ATHERNY

BARBALINE was 3rd here a fortnight ago in a blanket finish across the line. This is a very similar race, but today she draws the inside barrier so should find a gun run and will benefit from an apprentice claim. CHELOON resumes today, despite finishing positions in her last prep, she was close to the winners in all starts. Expect her to find a soft run as well from an inside barrier. FIELDS OF ATHERNY comes out of the same race as BARBALINE where he also finished amongst the placings. Doesn’t have to do a lot different to figure again here.
