ICE SYMPHONY was finishing off really strongly when on debut. Came up against some handy runner in that race and this looks easier now. The rise in distance and a big track like Murray Bridge should really suit him. INTREPID EAGLE will debut here today, he come from a smart stable and his trials have been good. PARTY PRINCESS is a well bred debutant, Haven’t seen a lot at any trials, but she is light at the weights and drawn well.
Race 2
3- ZOFFALA
1- LORD BOUZERON
2- SMILING ASSASSIN
ZOFFALA was a winner over this track/distance 2 starts back. He gets very similar conditions again here and will face a similar field, all he needs to do is to run up the that form again. LORD BOUZERON ran on well in a stronger race last start and is on the quick back up. This is his home track but he is unplaced from his 2 starts here, has the potential to really improve on that. SMILING ASSASSIN has been in super form this prep, has never missed a placing in 4 starts over this track/distance.
Race 3
4- AADELAD (VALUE OF DAY)
1- STAR HILLS
8- QUIETLY DISCREET
AADELAD was a late scratching from a sharp race last weekend, he has won and then ran 2nd in both runs this prep and at a stronger level. Considering he is a strong 3rd up performer and has been competing well this prep, it looks like he has flown under the radar and represents strong EW value. STAR HILLS was put under huge pressure when caught up in a speed battle and faded late last start. He was super in the runs prior to that so if he can find get a run on better terms he should be an improver. QUIETLY DISCREET is a short price fave who was a winner when resuming. Rises in grade here today so could be a risk at the short price, but is in good form.

5- BOOKMAN
YURI ROYALE looks due a win here having gone down by very small margins to finish 2nd in both runs this prep. He gets out to the 1600m for the 1st time this prep which should help as he has a record of 3:1-1-0 record over this trip. BOLT BY was a winner last start when coming back in trip to a distance similar to this. Love this track having only missed a placing once from 5 starts. BOOKMAN defeated YURI ROYALE in their last start but will get less favours today from a wide barrier.
Race 5
7- SO SAY ANGEL
5- RECKONING
8- UNLACED
SO SAY ANGEL has elected to run here instead of a race at Flemington. She looks really well placed here Having won recently over the track/distance and drawing barrier 1 she has options to push forwards and be prominent. RECKONING drops in grade from his recent runs back home in Victoria where he was placed in one. He will likely get back and want some speed in the race, but should appreciate a big track. UNLACED Was brave last start when 2nd to a runner in super form. On her home track here today, if she can get across from the wide barrier and find a good position she will be prominent
Race 6
7- HALIFAX ROAD
4- RAPID RAISER
2- LOMAX
Banking on HALIFAX ROAD to be an improver on his last start here where he was only midfield. Think the keys to improvement today will be that he has drawn barrier 2, so should get the soft on speed run, and the booking of a senior jockey may help him sharpen up. RAPID RAISER is in good form having placed in his last 2 starts against a tough grade. Does drop in grade, but also back in distance which may go against him though. LOMAX Has won 2 in a row now including a last start win at this track/distance. Will have to carry weight in this and has a wide barrier.

2- WOTUWANT
9- SOMEWATT FABULOUS
Resuming TAUNTING finds a good race to kick off his campaign in. He was competitive at a stronger level to close out the last prep. Is only lightly raced and looks like a good type. WOTUWANT is on the quick back up after Placing in a stronger grade last start. He has been in form having placed in all his last 4. SOMEWATT FABULOUS is a good EW play here. She resumes and is usually good 1st up. She finished her last prep running in strong listed level races and they have both been good form races since.
Race 8
11- CROWNED MONARCH
2- MAXIMUM VELOCITY
13- MY KHALIFA
Toughest race of the day the current fave is at $5 showing how open it is. CROWNED MONARCH looks like he is facing easier opposition to what he has seen this prep. His running pattern suggests that he will appreciate the wide track and barrier 11 won’t concern him. MAXIMUM VELOCITY visits from Victoria and is a last start winner. The apprentice claim should help and a soft barrier give him options. MY KHALIFA has been in some strong positions a couple times this prep but hasn’t finished races off. Is light in the weight after an apprentice claim so may get a better chance to finish off strongly here.
Race 9
9- ROSE TYCOON (BEST OF DAY)
2- FOX GEM
4- LOAD AND GO
ROSE TYCOON is only a lightly raced runner, and hasn’t missed a placing in her 5 career starts. She was 2nd in a strong race last start at Bendigo. She was crunched in early markets and looks hard to beat. FOX GEM was impressive when winning by more than 3L when 2nd up in trying conditions at Balaklava? It was a super impressive run, so if he can handle a heavy weight and finds space in the straight. He can threaten. LOAD AND GO is at big odds, but may get the run of the race as he will likely race on speed and has an inside barrier. If he gets it too soft up front he can steal this.
