R2/2- FLYIN’ FOR US

  • Resumed at Balaklava 3 weeks ago after he showed a lot of promise in his first prep earlier in the year. He jumped as a well supported fave but the run was disappointing at face value. Post race he has pulled up with a slow recovery after he got quite worked up pre race. I’m willing to forgive him off that one bad run as I have seen enough talent to suggest he is capable of winning a maiden at this level. He maps for a good run forwards and should be an improver today.

R5/7- CHEEKY CHEEKYBELLA (BEST OF THE DAY)

  • Having her 2nd run for her new stable here in SA today. Thought she was handy 1st up here at Murray Bridge and that race was at a stronger level, she was 3rd in a metro BM62 behind ORACLE SON & LONRODEX which has proven to be a good form race given LONRODEX bolted in at Morphettville Saturday just gone. CHEEKY CHEEKYBELLA has good early speed and is drawn well here. Over this 900m scamper that should put her in a good position vs some of her rivals who map to be further back in the pack.

R7/8- PRETTY RELIABLE (EW/VALUE OF THE DAY)

  • Resuming today, and she finds herself in what rates as the easiest race she has contested in since she won her maiden. She had 4 runs last prep and on paper they don’t light the world on fire but they were some much stronger races run around the Group 1 carnival. In the easier race here today and with a soft race map from barrier 4, she should be a likely improver and we are getting an EW price for a runner who is probably up to winning at metro level, the only question is how fit she is resuming.
