Dropping down in grade here today coming out of a last start 3rd placing in a metro level BM68, down to contesting a provincial BM58 here today. He hasn’t missed the placings in 3 runs this prep and usually runs well here on his home track (Both career wins have come on this track). He maps well out of barrier 2 and should be forwards in the run and also gets 3kgs off his back thanks to the apprentice claim.

R5/4- LORD MORTON

Ran fairly 1st up here to run into 4th. He should definitely improve with that run under his belt now and rising up to the 1200m suits. Jake Toeroek is booked to take the ride which looks an interesting move, a strong jockey looks like what this runner needs to help him really get going late. Draws in barrier 4 and should be settling handy from that position. If he produces his best effort here today, he should prove hard to beat at this level.
